Gabriel Gomes

José Gabriel Lira Gomes received his Ph.D. degree in Biophysics from the University of Madeira, Madeira, Portugal, in 2008. His thesis focused on the analysis of functional magnetic resonance images of the brain.
Prior to that he received his M.Sc. degree in Radiological Physics from the Wayne State University in 1996 and B.Sc. degree in Physics from the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa in 1991.
He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Physics, University of Madeira.
His current research interests include medical physics, plasma medicine, experimental physics and numerical modeling of physical systems.
