Larissa Benilova

Larissa G. Benilova graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineering. From 1975 to 1996 she worked in several computing centres in Moscow and Bochum (Germany). From 1997 to 1999 she worked in the area of scientific programming and word processing for Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon).
Since 2001 she has been contracted by Universidade da Madeira as engineer-programmer and has performed scientific programming and numerical simulations in the framework of a number of research projects in plasma science and applications funded by European Union, Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia of Portugal, Philips Technologie GmbH, and Siemens AG. Larissa Benilova co-authored a number of papers in research journals and conference proceedings.
